"Musavat" calls on the international community to increase pressure on Russia
"Musavat" party made another statement on the situation in Ukraine and around the Crimea, condemning Russia's actions. In particular, the party expresses its outrage with the actions of the Russian special services that detained activists of the party on the way to the Crimea, and deport them back from Makhachkala to Azerbaijan.
Referring to the Kremlin's actions in regard to Ukraine, "Musavat" strongly condemns the military intervention and attempts to provocations, and acts in defense of the territorial integrity and legitimate rights of the people of Ukraine.
As for the illegal referendum in Crimea, it is an action carried out at gunpoint and contrary to international law, would have no legal force, said in a statement. The party called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia to force it to abandon its policy of annexation of Ukraine. -05D-
