"Musavat" has declared the 2016 year "An important year for change" in the life of the party, adopted an action plan for the implementation of these reforms. The preamble of the document says that in recent years the Azerbaijani authorities by their incompetent policies have brought the country to self-isolation from the international democratic community. "Musavat" is committed to through reforms to meet the challenges of the new realities.
According to the chief of staff of "Musavat" Gulaga Aslanli, the Action Plan includes measures to fight for the release of political prisoners, cooperation with other organizations, use of the media and social networks, preparation of the alternative bills. For this reason the party created analytical centers in these areas. Implementation of the Plan of Action was assigned to the head of the party and its Board. -05D06-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
