"Musavat" member is sentenced to community service
Nasimi District Court today sentenced Tural Abbasli ,the head of the youth branch of the party "Musavat" to 220 hours of community service for "evasion" of a fine of 600 manats (the penalty was imposed for participation in protest action on January 12, 2013 against the soldiers' deaths.)
"In their documents bailiffs noted absence of my income and property. So, why do they speak about the “evasion”?" said Abbasli Turan agency.
On the other hand, the Cabinet of Ministers has not approved the list of public works, and so there is no regulatory framework for the implementation of this punishment. The activist intends to file an appeal.—06C-
