Nardaran resident convicted of involvement in anti-Israel protest action
A resident of Nardaran, a supporter of the Islamic Party, Ali Huseynov, was arrested by the Sabunchu district police and sentenced to nine days of administrative arrest.
The reason for his arrest was the part Huseynov played in the protests in Nardaran on the occasion of the Day of Quds (Jerusalem) last Friday.
The Islamic Party has strongly condemned the arrest of Huseynov and expressed surprise with Huseynov’s persecution for taking part in the protest.
Participants of the rally were protesting against the occupation policy in the world, including Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan.
The protesters were protesting against the policy of the United States and Israel, and burned flags of these countries, which was a manifestation of anger against the unjust policies against Muslims, IPA said in the statement. -06D-
