National Council condemns the provocation against Mehman Aliyev
The National Council of Democratic Forces condemned provocation against the director of Turan news agency, Mehman Aliyev. The statement of the National Council said that the telephone conversations were tapped and the content was placed on the Internet. The source of the call remains unclear, but it was presented as a plan for the change of power in Azerbaijan with the help of the West.
The National Council regarded the incident as a plan to compromise the well-known public figure. Despite the failure of this provocation, blackening attempts have not stopped. This indicates the intention of the authorities to continue the pressure on public figures, journalists and civil society who criticize the authorities. The National Council demanded to stop the campaign of blackening M Aliyev and put an end to the illegal actions against him. -16D-
