The summit will open with an official meeting on Afghanistan. In the course of it the country's security after the withdrawal of the international forces in 2014 will be discussed.

On the second day of the Summit, the allied leaders will discuss the response to the current and future security threats. The creation of rapid reaction forces is expected to be approved.

They will be created by seven NATO countries - Britain, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway and the Netherlands. The number is to be about four thousand people. It is assumed that the troops would have to be capable of being deployed within 48 hours anywhere in the world, especially along the border between Europe and Russia. The command of the new forces is expected to be completed by representatives from the UK.
