Navy of Azerbaijan and Iran will conduct joint exercises
Baku/02.10.19/Turan: Cooperation between the Azerbaijani Navy and Iran in the Caspian Sea is constructive and will be strengthened, announced during the meeting the acting Azerbaijani Navy Commander Zaur Hummatov with Iranian Navy Commander in the Caspian Sea Mujtaba Mohammed in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas.
According to Iranian media, Hummatov noted that Azerbaijan and Iran plan to conduct joint operations and exercises with a view to effective cooperation.
Mohammedi said that the first thing is about ensuring the safety of the merchant fleet in the Caspian.
The Azerbaijani Navy Commander is in Iran at the invitation of the Iranian Navy Commander Admiral Hossein Hunzadi. -02D-
