Nikol Pashinyan: Armenia Interested in Transit Pipeline
Baku / 30.01.19 / Turan: "Unfortunately, there is no transit pipeline being built in Armenia that would transport oil and gas from point A to point B. We are very interested in such a pipeline." The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview with RBC, answering the question whether Armenia plans to reduce its energy dependence on Russia.
With these words, Pashinyan actually avoided answering the question. However, he actually acknowledged that Armenia wants to get away from this dependence.
In this case, it could be a gas pipeline from Iran or from Azerbaijan. Earlier, official Baku did not rule out that Azerbaijan could lay a pipeline branch to Armenia, providing it with gas and oil. -02D-
