On Mammadyarov’s Visit to Germany
During his visit to Germany, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with Chancellor Angela Merkel's advisor on Foreign Affairs and Security Christopher Hoisgen.
During the meeting they discussed the German-Azerbaijani relations, energy cooperation, the TANAP and TAP projects, the Karabakh conflict, international and regional issues, MFA press office reported.
Mammadyarov informed about the current situation around the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, noting the shelling of Azerbaijani civilians by the Armenians.
The Minister stressed the importance of active work of the OSCE to reach a settlement and expressed confidence that during the German presidency of the OSCE, Berlin will contribute to the settlement.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the state of political dialogue and economic cooperation between Baku and Berlin. -16D04-
