Opposition Rally in Memory of Rasulzadeh
Today in the village of Novkhani at the monument to Mamed Emin Rasulzadeh there was a rally dedicated to the 129th anniversary of the birth of one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR: 1918-20.) Over 200 people - leaders and activists of opposition parties, civil society and the intelligentsia, attended the rally.
The action began with a performance of the national anthem of Azerbaijan. PFPA leader Ali Kerimli said that the life path of Rasulzadeh is a model and an object of pride for every Azerbaijani who loves his country and wants to see it democratic and prosperous.
Kerimli said that the current generation of young people has to finish the job started by the founders of the ADR. Musavat leader Isa Gambar announced the beginning of a new mass national movement in Azerbaijan, which is bound to end with victory for democratic forces and become the embodiment of ideas of Rasulzadeh and the ADR.-16/03C--
