OSCE Chairman-in-Office plans to hold a meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia on Karabakh
Baku/19.09.23/Turan: In his capacity as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, expressed profound concern regarding the unfolding military operations and the associated threat to the civilian population in Khankendi. Osmani conveyed his apprehension and issued a call for immediate de-escalation, emphasizing that peaceful dialogue must remain the sole recourse, and humanitarian concerns must take precedence.
Taking to the social network X (formerly Twitter), Osmani stated, "As OSCE Chairman, I am deeply concerned about reports of military operations and the related threat to the civilian population in Stepanakert/Khankendi. I call for an urgent de-escalation. Peaceful dialogue should be the only option, humanitarian issues should be given priority."
Osmani disclosed his plans to convene meetings with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for a diplomatic resolution.--0--
