OSCE PA President to visit Azerbaijan
The Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ilkka Kanerva will visit Azerbaijan on January 23-25, the Parliament Vice-speaker Bahar Muradova told the media.
Kanerva will have meetings in the Parliament and other official circles of Azerbaijan.
According to Muradova, the meetings will discuss the relationship between the Milli Majlis and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the OSCE's role in the Karabakh settlement and other issues.
"Azerbaijan has no problems with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the cooperation will continue," said Muradova.
According to her, Azerbaijan has always attached importance to relations with the OSCE and the participation in international organizations.
Commenting on the refusal of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to send observers to the recent parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Muradova said: "This is politics. Relationship can experience ups and drops. Issues that hinder cooperation should be discussed openly." -16D-
