Over five years, Russia will supply arms for 5 billion USD to Azerbaijan
Shoigu’s talks in Baku within the framework of the official visit of the Russian Defense Ministry also concerned the supply of arms, told the newspaper Kommersant.
Development of military-technical cooperation, according to the military source of the newspaper, is very productive: only in the period from 2010 to 2012 the contracts totaled approximately $ 4 billion. The total supply of arms through Rosoboronexport could reach about $ 5 billion by the end of 2014.
In addition, Azerbaijan is interested in the purchase of the coastal missile complex Ball-E, which is already in service with the Russian Caspian Flotilla, the source said.
