Paris calls for urgent UN Security Council meeting on Karabakh
Baku/19.09.23/Turan: France has swiftly responded to the counter-terrorism operation in Azerbaijan's former Nagorno-Karabakh region by calling for an urgent session of the UN Security Council to address the situation. The announcement was conveyed through an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France.
In the statement, the ministry asserted, "France demands an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. It is consulting with its European partners and the United States to formulate a response commensurate with the security risks posed by Azerbaijan's unacceptable offensive in the region."
Additionally, the French Foreign Ministry issued a call to Baku, urging an immediate cessation of hostilities and adherence to international law.
