MPs That Talked on Their Special Merits Now Want to Dissolve Themselves
Baku / 02.12.19 / Turan: The meeting of the Milli Majlis of the country on Monday began with consideration of the appeal of MPs from the ruling New Azerbaijan party on the need to dissolve the parliament.
Speaker Oktay Asadov said the reforms carried out by the President of Azerbaijan "have reached a qualitatively new level." Structural and personnel changes carried out in the Cabinet of Ministers, executive authorities and the judicial system are systemic in nature. All this led to the same reforms in the legislature, he said.
Further, the deputy chairman of the ruling party, MP Siyavush Novruzov, appealed to independent deputies and representatives of other parties to support the appeal.
None of the so-called deputies from opposition parties and independent deputies expressed their opinion.
Then it was decided to create an editorial commission to prepare a decision on the dissolution of parliament. It included: Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova, head of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli, MP Fazail Ibrahimli, head of the Committee on Foreign Relations Samed Seyidov, and MP Sahiba Gafarova. -02D-
