Pentagon Delivers Field Hospital to Turkey
Washington D.C./28.02.23/Turan: The Pentagon said on Monday that it has delivered an emergency field hospital from the continental U.S. to Incirlik Air Base last week, as part of the Biden administration's continuing commitment to assist survivors of the catastrophic earthquake, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
"We are responding to the request for support from the Turkish government to provide a critical medical capability while the Turkish government rebuilds," U.S. Brig. Gen. Andrew Priddy said.
The field hospital is equipped with an emergency room, two operating rooms and an intensive care unit along with critically needed medical supplies, 100 beds and equipment to ensure the functionality of the hospital, according to the Pentagon.
