Police admitted to spying journalists, and lists of "agents of the West" appeared in social networks

Baku/27.11.23/Turan: The scandal around the "exposure of the American agent network" in Azerbaijan is ongoing and takes on an increasingly comical character.

Thus, pro-government media published video footage of surveillance of Ulvi Hasanli, director of online publication "Abzas Media".  The police, who are investigating the case, admit that they are conducting street surveillance of journalists.

As is well known, the "Abzas Media" investigation has declared all those trained in the US and the West as "spies" and "the West's agent network".

However, it turned out that a significant part of the ruling elite of Azerbaijan was educated, studied at a master's programme or took courses in the West and particularly in the United States:

1) Mikayil Jabbarov, Economy Minister -- a graduate of the American School of Law of the Pacific University (McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, Sacramento, California, USA.

2) Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport-a graduate of the University of East Carolina, USA.

3) Inam Kerimov, Chairman of the Supreme Court - a graduate of the high school in Richmond (USA), higher education at the Sorbonne and the University of Strasbourg.

4) Fuad Nagiyev, head of the Tourism Agency - a graduate of the Human Rights Program of the Council of Europe of Birmingham University , UK.

5) Teymur Musayev, Minister of Health -- a graduate of the French Louis Pasteur University (France).

6) Emin Amrullayev,  Minister of Education --a graduate of the University of Central Europe and Columbia University.

7) Fuad Muradov, head of the Committee for Work with Diaspora - - Universities of Nice (France) and Genoa (Italy) under the Tempus Program of the European Union.

8) Rovshan Najaf, President of SOCAR State Oil Company – Columbia University, USA

9) Vusal Huseynov, head of the Migration Service – Harvard University.
