Presentation of the report on the Karabakh conflict
Baku / 15.02.19 / Turan: On Friday, the presentation of the International Alert report entitled "Vision of the World", containing an analysis of views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, took place.
Avaz Hasanov, head of the Humanitarian Research public association, who presented the report, noted that polls among various social groups in Azerbaijan began in 2017.
The materials were analyzed in the first half of 2018 with the assistance of well-known experts. "Despite 30 years have passed, the rules of the conflict have not changed, and there are almost no serious adjustments in the approaches of the parties. Against all this, it is naive to think that the process of achieving peace will be easy," he said.
The representative of the EU Special Representative in the South Caucasus, Johanna Ketola, briefed those present about the EU project on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: "The European Partnership for a Peaceful Settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict". It was noted that the submitted report was prepared as part of this project.
Experts who took part in the discussions presented the essence of the polls, which is that ordinary people want and believe in achieving a peaceful settlement, but they do not solve anything and it is the responsibility of politicians to take concrete steps. -02D-
