Qatar proposes Baku to establish a joint investment fund
Today the Head of State Ilham Aliyev has received Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. During the meeting the sides discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation, and in particular the plans to establish a joint investment fund. The same theme and a number of other promising areas will be discussed in detail at today's meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, the minister said at a briefing in the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan after the meeting with Elmar Mammadyarov. What will the joint investment fund, its size and the proportion of participants is still unknown. However, it is known that this topic was discussed earlier the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev with Qatar's Ambassador to Baku Yusif bin Hasan al-Sai. -02D-

The Kazakh side has published information about the nationality of 67 people, including 5 crew members of the AZAL plane that crashed on December 25 in Aktau. Among them, 38 people died, and 29 survived.
