Railway connection with Azerbaijan to be restored in 2-3 years - Pashinyan
Armenia and Azerbaijan are planning to complete the construction of Yeraskh-Julfa-Ordubad-Meghri-Goradiz railroad within 2-3 years, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during his visit to Georgia.
"There is already an agreement in principle with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the railway connection. The point is about the restoration of Yeraskh-Julfa-Ordubad-Meghri-Goradiz railroad. We hope to complete this work within 2-3 years," Pashinyan said.
Note that the length of the railway will be 340 kilometers, 45 of which will go through the territory of Armenia. An approximate construction price is $200 million. -02D-
