Ramiz Mehdiyev Awarded on His Jubilee
President Ilham Aliyev awarded the “Sharaf” Order (Honor), to the head of his administration, Ramiz Mehdiyev. “He has been awarded for the efficient operation of public service and outstanding achievements in state-building,” says the official report.
On April 17, Mehdiyev markes his 75th jubilee. It should be noted, in recent months Mehdiev is at the center of the "Gulargeyt" scandal; the sale of deputy mandates.
Elshad Abdullayev, former Rector of the International University, who is in exile in France, issued a series of videos showing he passed to Mehdiyev, through intermediaries, $1 million for electing him to parliament, as well as to release his kidnapped brother.
One of the defendants in the case, former MP Guler Akhmedov, is currently in prison, and another participant of the scandal, Sevinc Babayeva, has died under mysterious circumstances in Turkey.
Meanwhile, Ramiz Mehdiyev celebrates his jubilee!—06D--
