Relations Between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey to Deepen - Davutoglu
Tbilisi/28.03.13/Turan-BS PRESS: Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says that the March 28, 2013 declaration that he will sign with the foreign ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the countries.
Batumi will be the site for the Signing of the Declaration and the trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of the three countries. Davutoglu arrived in Georgia Wednesday for an official two-day visit and will hold meetings with Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, Speaker David Usupashvili and State Minister for Reintegration Zakareishvili.
"We have long-standing friendships. There are many Georgians in Turkey; your country is our economic partner. I hope that this will continue. Tomorrow we will sign an important document; the declaration will strengthen relations between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey," - said Davutoglu after meeting with Maya Panjikidze, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia on Wednesday, March 27. In turn, Panjikidze said that there were discussions about the issues of cooperation, joint regional projects, and noted the need for high-level visits.
The first meeting in the trilateral format was held in June last year in Turkey and Trabzon in the adoption of the declaration. At the upcoming meeting in Batumi, the parties will sign an inter-sector action program for 2013-2015. -02D-
