Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and someone else from the senior officials did not react to a major terrorist attack in the United States after September 11, 2001. Despite the fact that many heads of State expressed their condolences to Obama, Aliyev did not.
The reason for this is not clear, although it can be assumed that the leadership of Azerbaijan has not considered it appropriate to express condolences for the deaths of people of non-traditional orientation. -02В-

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
