Rights and security of Karabakh Armenians to determine its status - head of Armenian Security Council
Baku/02.06.22/Turan: The rights and security of Karabakh Armenians should determine their status. This statement was made on Thursday by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan. He said this in response to a question whether the right of peoples to self-determination remains on the agenda.
According to Grigoryan, Yerevan continues to stress the importance of the rights and security of Armenians living in Karabakh.
"We are confident that it is rights and security that will determine their status. We will continue working in this direction," Sputnik-Armenia quoted Grigoryan as saying.
Thus, Grigoryan's statement can be interpreted as Yerevan's readiness to agree to Baku's demand that Karabakh will not have a status within Azerbaijan and that the Armenian population of the region will be guaranteed all rights. -02D-
