Rotation of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan
July 8th a unit of peacekeepers from Azerbaijani Armed Forces comprising 30 people, as part of a planned rotation, went to Afghanistan.
The group operates as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
According to the press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, the Armed Forces peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan is valid from November 20, 2002.
Currently, this group includes 90 soldiers, two military doctors and two specialists in engineering and fastening work. -16D04-
