Russia cannot stop the Ukrainian offensive on Kursk
On 8 August, the Ukrainian armed forces confidently continued their offensive on Russia's Kursk region. According to independent sources as of Thursday evening, just today the Ukrainians have advanced another 10-15 kilometres, reached the village of Kromskie Byki and are moving on.
Russia has lost 430 square kilometres of territory and 20 settlements. The Ukranian helicopters are already flying in Suja. There are a lot of prisoners.
The Ukrainian armed forces are erecting fortifications and transferring armoured vehicles, gaining a foothold in the occupied territory.

The trial in the case of public activist Ilhamiz Guliyev, who was arrested on drug charges, continued on Thursday in the Baku Serious Crimes Court, chaired by Azer Tagiyev. Nijat Abdullayev, a police officer from the Yasamal district, acted as a witness at the trial. According to Turan, lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova, Guliyev said that it was this employee who put the drugs in his pocket. Guliyev reiterated the falsification of the charges. Sadigova drew attention to the fact that after his detention, Guliyev was not allowed to inform his family about this and invite his lawyer.

The total amount of airtime provided for election campaigning cannot be less than 3 hours, the head of the Audiovisual Council, Ismet Sattarov stated at todays’ meeting dedicated to the issues of opportunities for election campaigning in early parliamentary elections and the basics of media coverage of the campaign. According to him, free airtime in parliamentary elections should be distributed on an equal basis.
