Russia plays an important role in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict - I. Aliyev
Baku/27.02.23/Turan: Baku is ready to work constructively with the Russian side in resolving the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was stated by the head of state Ilham Aliyev, receiving Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Baku on Monday evening.
Aliyev noted the great efforts and role of Russia in achieving peace in Karabakh and expressed hope that these efforts will be continued this year.
“I hope that 2023 will be a breakthrough year in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In any case, we count on it,” Aliyev said.
In his response, Sergey Lavrov noted the high level of allied relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that these relations would continue to strengthen in all areas.
