Appointments were approved at the meeting of the organizing committee of the party Republican Alternative (REAL) on March 25.
Upon recommendation of the imprisoned chairman of the organizing committee Ilgar Mammadov, Azer Gasimli was approved the Secretary for Socio-political Issues, Natig Jafarli - Secretary for Administration, Erkin Gadirli - Secretary for Conceptual Issues, and Khalid Bagirov - Secretary for Legal Affairs.
* Ilgar Mammadov was arrested in February 2013 in connection with the popular unrest in the Ismayilli region in January of the same year. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison. The European Court of Human Rights declared his arrest illegal, yet the authorities continue to detain him in custody. Amnesty International recognizes Mamedov "prisoner of conscience". -16d06-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
