Separatists cut public transport operations to minimum
Baku/10.07.23/Turan: The separatist regime in the Armenian-populated part of Karabakh has decided to impose additional restrictions on the operation of public transport due to fuel shortage. From 8 July public transport in Khankendi has been reduced to a minimum. The same is true for bus services from Khankendi to the districts from 10 July, "Caucasian Knot" reports.
It might be recalled that from July 8 the public transport in Khankendi operates two hours in the morning - from 07.00 to 09.00; two hours in the afternoon - from 12.00 to 14.00; and in the evening - from 18.00 to 20.00. There are one or two buses on each route. Two buses operate on Saturday and Sunday to the suburbs of Khankendi.
Also, bus services providing links between the districts and Khankendi have been reduced by more than 50%.
Available supplies are used only for social needs - fuel is given to ambulance services, rescue workers and public transport.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani authorities offered to supply the Armenian-populated part of Karabakh via the Aghdam-Khankendi road.
However, the separatists stubbornly refuse any ties with Azerbaijan, thereby condemning the population to hardships. -06В-
