Baku/01.22.22/Turan: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has denied Armenian media reports about plans for a bitumen plant in the Stepanavan settlement in Armenia. According to these reports, SOCAR intends to purchase this plant through Georgian intermediaries.
The representative of SOCAR's public relations department, Ibrahim Ahmedov, denied these allegations,
In his comments to the Azerbaijani media, he made it clear that a bitumen plant in Armenia could not be of interest to such an industrial giant as SOCAR. It should be noted that the specified enterprise is located in the village of Stepanavan and has been inactive for several years.-02D-
