Son of PFPA activist accused of drug trafficking
Sanan Dashdamirli , son of Rafig Dashdamirli, he head of department of the Popular Front Party (APFP) was arrested on charges of drug trafficking. The party believes that the young man is persecuted for political reasons because of his father's opposition activities. R.Dashdamirli actively participates in solving organizational and technical issues of recent meetings of the National Council of Democratic Forces. R.Dashdamirli himself is convinced of this. In an interview with Turan, he said that his son was detained right near his home on November 17 at 19:00, and taken to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Interior Ministry. The next day, the court arrested him for three months.
R.Dashdamirli categorically denied the charges in the drug trade as a young man is a believer.
Oppositionist believes that his son was arrested to put pressure on him. "Realizing that by provocations they will not make me give up the political struggle, and decided to arrest and punish my son," said R.Dashdamirli.
