During his visit to Spain, the Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov was received by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of this country Ibañez Ignacio Rubio. During the meeting the issues of the Azerbaijani-Spanish cooperation in the political sphere were discussed. The sides expressed interest in cooperation in the framework of the UN, OSCE, NATO, the Council of Europe, European Union and other international organizations. In addition, was stressed the importance of development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Spain in the fight against terrorism and separatism, as well as mutual support in these matters. Referring to the situation in the region and the Karabakh conflict, Rubio said that Madrid supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. -02D-
