Speaker of Milli Majlis Leaves for Turkey
Baku / 10.09.20 / Turan: On Thursday, the speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova headed the parliamentary delegation to Turkey.
According to the Milli Majlis, the delegation includes the following deputies: Ahliman Amiraslanov, Ziyafat Askerov, Sevil Mikailova, Fazil Mustafa, Elshan Musayev, Tural Ganjaliyev and the head of the parliamentary apparatus Safa Mirzayev.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings will be held in the Turkish parliament, inter-parliamentary ties, and ways of resolving regional conflicts will be discussed.
Sahiba Gafarova is expected to be received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other officials. -02D-

On October 10, the Baku Appeals Court rejected appeals to extend the detention of individuals involved in the “Toplum TV” case, including journalists Mushfig Jabbar and Ali Zeynalov, as well as activists Akif Gurbanov, Ruslan Izzetli, Ramil Babayev, and Ilkin Amrahov. The appeal from “Toplum TV's” founder, Alesker Mamedli, was not reviewed.

On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree allowing Georgian citizens to enter Russia for work or for a period of up to 90 days without a visa. The decree takes effect immediately.
