Speaker of Turkish Parliament Calls on UN to Bring Perpetrators of Tragedy in Khojaly to Justice
Baku / 26.02.18 / Turan: Turkey expects the UN to take steps to bring to justice those responsible for the massacre of civilians in the town of Khojaly. This was stated by the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Ismail Kahraman in connection with the 26th anniversary of the tragedy in Khojaly.
The author calls on the UN to play an active role in the withdrawal of the armed forces of Armenia from the occupied Azerbaijani lands, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding areas.
"One of the bloodiest atrocities in the history of mankind was committed in Khojaly. Twenty-six years ago, the Armenian Armed Forces occupied the Azerbaijani town, and 613 peaceful civilians were mercilessly killed," the message says.
The people who are currently in power in Armenia are involved in the massacre in Khojaly.
Khojaly's pain will not disappear until the perpetrators of the massacres are brought to justice, and the Armenian state does not bring official apologies, the appeal says. -02D-
