The Action Group has put forward a presidential candidate R. Ibragimbekov
Today there was a meeting of the initiative group of voters for the nomination of the Chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF, Rustam Ibragimbekov.
It was attended by members of the NCDF and representatives of the parties in the NCDF.
In total there were more than 150 members of the public - politicians, human rights activists, public and culture figures, and the press.
They elected the Chairman of the initiative group – the head of the Executive Committee of the Liberal Party, Elman Mammadzadeh. He was elected an authorized representative of Ibragimbekov at the CEC.
The Action Group will prepare the documents and submit them to the CEC in the coming days.
In NCDF they believe that the failure to solve the issue of withdrawal of Russian citizenship of Ibragimbekov will not be an obstacle to his nomination. The relevant document (for renunciation of the citizenship) may be submitted with signature sheets with 40 thousand signatures in favor of Ibragimbekov. -06B-
