The banks of Azerbaijan and Tajikistan sign a cooperation document
Baku/05.04.23 /Turan: The Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbank" and JSC "Azer-Turk Bank" of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The document was signed by the heads of the two banks during the Investment Forum of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, which took place on April 4 in Dushanbe.
Cooperation of banks will allow establishing mutual banking operations, opening correspondent accounts, overnight accommodation, currency exchange, etc.
At the same forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Confederation of Owners of Azerbaijan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan. ---02D---

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan. He raised a sign above his head that read: "Azerbaijani authorities are shooting dogs on the streets!"
