The Blood Bank is turning into a legal entity under public law
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of a legal entity under public law, the Republican Blood Bank. According to the document, a legal entity of public law, the Republican Blood Bank, is being established under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health.
The structure will carry out activities in the field of blood needs and its components, purchase, process, and ensure the storage and distribution of blood.
A 5-member Supervisory Board is established to provide general guidance and control. The current management will be carried out by the Executive Director. It should be noted that previously the "Blood Bank" was a structural unit of the Ministry of Health.
