The contract on the supply of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan is fulfilled by 90%, Zakir Hasanov
Baku / 13.07.17 / Turan: The contract for the supply of Russian tanks, the Smerch and the Msta-S installations has been completed by 90%, Baku has paid for weapons and successfully applies them, stated by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov in an interview with RIA Novosti. "The contract has already been fulfilled by almost 90%, we have paid for it, everything has remained for a long time in Azerbaijan and has been successfully applied ... All this is a modern weapon that we have mastered and are applying," the minister said.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani military department informed that the another lot of military equipment and ammunition purchased from Russia was delivered to the republic. The previous batch of weapons purchased in Russia was delivered in June. The amount of the contract was not disclosed, but, according to publications in the media, it was about 5 billion dollars.-06D--
