The Czech Embassy in Baku and ADA co-organized a discussion on EU's future approach towards the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership
Baku/20.10.22/Turan: On 19 October 2022, the Embassy of Czech Republic in Baku and the ADA University (Azerbaijani Diplomatic Academy) co-organized a panel discussion on EU's future approach towards the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership. The event took place at ADA in the framework of the Czech EU Council Presidency.
The panelists at the discussion moderated by ADA Vice Rector Fariz Ismailzade included the Deputy Head of Mission of the Czech Republic Mr. Daniel Putík, AMO Research Fellow Mr. Pavel Havlíček and the Director for Policy Research, Analysis and Publications at the ADA Institute of Development and Diplomacy Mr. Damjan Krnjević Mišković.
Questions about challenges and opportunities for the EU with regard to the South Caucasus and Azerbaijan after the first European Political Community Summit in Prague, role of the Eastern Partnership after the granting of a candidate status by the EU to Ukraine and Moldova, future of EU-Azerbaijan relations and the role of the Czech EU Presidency therein steered the debate of the panel and the ensuing Q&A session.
A guest of the Czech Embassy, Mr. Pavel Havlíček gave an interview to local media and met representatives of local think tanks during his visit, contributing to a much needed expert discussion between the EU and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia regarding the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports traveling for short-term visits. The document was signed by the foreign ministers of both countries, Jeyhun Bayramov and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, on September 27 during a meeting at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations based on mutual respect for each other's legitimate interests.

Azerbaijan and Indonesia have agreed on visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic passports. The relevant intergovernmental agreement was signed by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Indonesia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Retno Marsudi, on September 27 during a meeting at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
