The Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Russian House in Baku congratulated Azerbaijani journalists on the National Press Day
Baku/21.07.23/Turan: The Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Russian House in Baku organized an event for Azerbaijani journalists on the occasion of the National Press Day on July 21. Welcoming the audience, the head of the embassy's press service, Alina Zolotareva, stressed that Azerbaijani journalism has a century and a half history, which begins with the publication of the first national newspaper "Plowman" back in 1875.
Speaking about today's Azerbaijani media, Zolotareva noted the balanced and responsible presentation of information by many of the country's media. She noted the role of independent media, which also present alternative opinions about events.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation, as Zolotareva noted, for its part is always ready to cooperate with the media. During the event, a large group of Azerbaijani journalists, including a representative of Turan, were awarded Certificates of Honor from the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Russian House in Baku for information cooperation.
The Russian House in Baku is an educational institution of the "Rossotrudnichestvo" representative office in Azerbaijan. ---06B---
