The EU Delegation organizes a "Summer School" for young people
Baku/21.06.22/Turan: The Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Azerbaijan will organize a European School (EuroSchool) for youth in one of the regions of the country on August 2-4. 18 young people aged 18 to 25 from all over the country will be selected to participate, according to a press release from the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.
The three-day event will include a series of interactive sessions on the EU, its history, fundamental principles and values, energy and environment, the European Neighborhood Policy, the Eastern Partnership Initiative and EU-Azerbaijan relations.
Participants will be informed about education and other opportunities for young people in Europe. The event will also bring together young people from EU countries who will share their knowledge and experience.
Participants will be selected based on a motivation letter and resume, which must be sent to Delegation-Azerbaijan@eeas.europa.eu by June 26, 2022.

Adalyat Verdiyev, the head of the civil defense staff at the public legal entity Center for Public Health and Reform under the Ministry of Health, and a military expert, has been arrested. On November 22, during a media tour to the liberated territories, Verdiyev filmed and published information and images on his social media accounts revealing Azerbaijani Armed Forces' combat positions in the heights, deployment sites, coordinates, and operational conditions of the border troops. This disclosure caused significant damage to the interests of state security and defense capability. This was stated in a report from the General Prosecutor’s Office.

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
