The EU Mission says that the observes took refuge in an Armenian trench. /UPDATED/
Baku/15.08.23/Turan: On the evening of August 15, the EU Observer Mission in Armenia published an amendment to its previous message, confirming that today one of the observers' cars was shelled, no one was injured.
The Mission's message on Twitter does not specify exactly where this happened, and from which side the fire was opened.
However, in a video published a little later, one of the observers says that they took refuge in an Armenian trench and shows traces of two bullets in the ceiling of the trench.---0---

European observers themselves refuted the Armenians` claims about the shelling by Azerbaijan
Baku/15.08.23/Turan: The report of the Armenian Defense Ministry that on August 15 at 12:20 the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of EU observers near the village of Verin Shorzha is not true.
"This is another disinformation of the Armenian side. The time, route, coordinates on the territory, brands and numbers of cars of European observers are provided to the Azerbaijani side in advance. For this reason, the occurrence of the situation that the Armenian Defense Ministry claims is practically and theoretically impossible," the statement of the Azerbaijani military department.
The European observers' Twitter account also reports that the Armenian side's claims about the shelling of mission representatives at the border are not true. "None of the patrols of the EU Observer Mission were fired upon," the report said. ---02/16B---
