The investigation informs Hafiz Hajiyev?
The Political Council of the "Modern Musavat" party today approved the nomination of the chairman of the pro-government organization Hafiz Hajiyev as a candidate for the presidency in the upcoming presidential elections on October 16, said Hajiyev at today's press conference.
Hajiyev known for his outrageous remarks against opposition leaders has remained loyal to himself. So, Hajiyev said the late ex-president and leader of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Abulfaz Elchibey was poisoned at the home of the current head Popular Front Party, Ali Kerimli, and the “investigation has proved it.”
Last year, on the basis of the allegations by Hajiyev about poisoning Elchibey, prosecutors filed a lawsuit under the Article 29, 120.1 (attempt to murder a man.)
"As far as know, 110 people have been questioned, and doctors who treated Elchibey in Turkey also gave testimonies. Ali Kerimov also should give testimonies within 10-15 days," Hajiyev said.
Moreover, looking ahead, Hajiyev declared confidently: "I believe that Ali Kerimli is already in prison. He's finished. "
Hafiz Hajiyev is the man who promised a reward to the one who cuts off the ear of the writer Akram Aylisli for his novel "Stone Dreams" about the Karabakh conflict.
However, after a call for violence against the writer has caused a negative response in the world, Hajiyev was reproved and he canceled his decision.—16D06-
