The new Swiss ambassador presents his credentials to Ilham Aliyev
On July 17 a new Ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan, Pascal Aebischer, presented his credentials to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
"“I am glad to be in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan with its rich historic and cultural heritage is an important country for Switzerland in terms of political and economic cooperation. Bilateral relations between our countries in all fields are dynamic. My arrival coincided with the decision of Shah Deniz consortium in favor of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), promoted – among others – by a Swiss company, which is another striking example of mutual trust and successful cooperation. I believe this cooperation will further develop and I am here to bring contribution to the growing relations," he said at a meeting with Aliyev.—06D-
