The office of the European Union did not call for a boycott European Games
Reports that the EU office in Baku calls on EU Member States to boycott the European Games in Baku do not correspond to reality, reads press release of the EU office. The paper further noted that the mandate of the office does not include making recommendations on non-participation in this sporting event. In addition, the final document of the Summit of Eastern Partnership countries in Riga to speak openly that the Summit are looking forward to the European games, it emphasized in a press release. The EU statement came after one of the pro-government media published a report that the Greek ambassador informed his government that none of the heads of states of Europe at the opening games will come.
