The official visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Azerbaijan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday begins a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan. According to Russian sources, the program of the visit includes talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.
This year it will be the fourth meeting of the Ministers of the two countries. According to the Department of Information and Press Department of the Russian Federation Foreign Ministry, during the visit the sides will discuss key aspects of regional and international agenda.
"Attention will be given the Caspian problems in the context of the Fourth Caspian summit in Astrakhan. Negotiating agenda will include issues of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, with emphasis on the need to unblock the current situation and in making concrete agreement," reported in the Russian Ministry.
Azerbaijan did not announce the program of the visit. Note that Ilham Aliyev is absent in Baku and is on a state visit in Greece. -16D-
