The Prosecutor General`s Office has opened a criminal case in connection with the burning of the Azerbaijani flag
Baku/15.04.23/Turan: The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan filed a lawsuit in connection with the burning of the Azerbaijani flag on April 14 at the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship in Yerevan. Such an attitude towards the Azerbaijani flag qualifies as "demonstrative actions aimed at inciting national hatred and enmity."
The investigation in connection with the burning of the flag is conducted in the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General's Office under the Articles of the CRiminal Code: 12.2, 283.2.1 (incitement of national hatred and enmity with violence), 12.2, 283.2.2 (incitement of hatred and enmity with violence by a person using his official position against Azerbaijan committed by foreign citizens outside the country), 12.2, 324 (abuse above the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan.)
It should be noted that the Article 12.2 provides for bringing to justice foreigners who have committed crimes against Azerbaijan outside its borders.
In order to bring to national and international judicial responsibility Aram Nikolyan, who burned the flag, and other persons involved in this crime, appeals will be sent to the relevant authorities of foreign states and international organizations, the statement of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan. --06B--
