The Senate Approved the New US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Secuta
Yesterday the US Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs approved the nomination of Robert Secuta as US Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Prior to this appointment he worked as chief deputy in the Office of the Secretary of State for Energy and supervised the questions of transparency.
Secuta has experience in foreign diplomatic missions. He worked at the US embassies in Tokyo (2007-09) and Berlin (2003-2007).
Secuta is a graduate of Georgetown University.
He will succeed the Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar, who also was engaged in energy issues in the Department of State for many years. -06D--
