The Supreme Court of Russian Federation upheld the decision to liquidate the Azerbaijani diaspora organization
Baku / 19.09.17 / Turan: The Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation left unchanged the decision on liquidation of the All-Russian Public Organization "All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress" (ARAC), RAPSI reports. The court refused to satisfy the appellate complaint of the Supreme Commercial Committee about the cancellation of the decision of the Supreme Court of May 15. The decision came into force.Representatives of the public organization said that the "All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress" faced a number of objective circumstances that prevented them from fulfilling the requirements of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. According to the applicant, the violations identified by the Justice Ministry are not incorrigible, and the timely receipt of correspondence was prevented by sudden internal problems with the governing bodies. In turn, the representative of the Ministry of Justice stated about the "rude nature of violations," some of which were incorrigible and of a systematic nature.
ARAC was established in 2001 with the support of former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2002, the NGO was registered and currently has branches in 69 regions of Russia. In the ARAC, in turn, they announced their intention to apply to the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora said that the liquidation of the ARAC is contrary to the "spirit of strategic partnership" between the two countries. -06D--
