The trial of two Armenians accused of espionage began in Baku
Baku/26.07.21/Turan: On Monday, the trial of two Armenian citizens - Davtyan David and Gevorg Sujyan started at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes. Note that the trial is chaired by Ali Mammadov.
It should be reminded that Davtyan and Sujyan are charged under Articles 228 (Illegal possession of weapons), 276 (espionage), 279 (creation of illegal armed groups) and 318 (illegal crossing of state border) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
According to the Armenian media, Sujyan is a blogger. In November 2020, he and a friend shot a video in Istisu ( Kelbajar region of Azerbaijan) and shared the footage on Facebook.
In this video, he used street swearing against Azerbaijanis. Some time later, on November 11, the Armenian media reported about the disappearance of Sujyan and Davtyan.
Where and under what circumstances these persons were detained is not reported. –06D-
